About

I have always been an artist, even titling my scribbles as a toddler. For me, art is about finding the essence in the noise and speaking it - whether through words, pigment or a lens. I focus on the natural world. I am inspired by how light touches the earth, dances on water, or emanates from wild creatures. I find that spending time in nature shows me how everything is connected. Making art is a meditation - pulling and admiring a few of those threads of connection.

I work primarily in soft pastels, but also work in charcoal and watercolor. I photograph anything that inspires me on my travels or walks, resulting in photographic art or inspiration for my original artwork.
